Technology Awareness & Education Senior Officer

About the role 

The Technology Awareness & Education Senior Officer is responsible for maximising use of digital tools by university staff to maximise operational productivity, efficiency and value for money. 

The incumbent will develop, own and maintain the Adoption and Engagement Strategy working closely with stakeholders. They ensure training and awareness material provides inclusive, accessible advice and guidance to support staff and student optimisation of digital tools. The work includes use of existing online training and supporting documentation, plus delivery of direct learning when required. 

The role requires an effective communicator, articulate and straight talking, also able to listen and moderate communication style according to the audience and brief. They should be confident in addressing large groups of people. A genuine interest and passion for helping upskill university staff, ensuring positive and enduring behavioural change across all students and staff must be evident. 

Proactive passion for helping transform the ways in which an organisation operates, using the ability to connect to people and understand their challenges and future vision to support and influence behaviour changes to improve the way they work is essential.

This role is offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) permanent basis. 

About you 

An ideal candidate would have the following skills and proven experience:

• Leading digital engagement and adoption campaigns, creating and implementing awareness of the latest developments in the organisation to both internal and external stakeholders. 
• Competent using digital tools, learning platforms and media formats especially Microsoft Office technologies and a range of training packages and software including SCORM compliant solutions.
• Engaging with customers to identify their needs and desired future.
• Demonstrable effective use of oral and written communications, communication channels and training tools/techniques to create engagement and influence behaviours
