Are you an experienced development services leader keen to make a real impact in an ambitious and growing development team? Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking an exceptional Deputy Director of Development Services to help us take our philanthropy and engagement activities to the next level.

In this pivotal new role, you will be responsible for driving strategic improvements in our development and engagement activity by leveraging your expertise in data insight, systems integration, planning and compliance.

You will manage a team of three development services professionals and collaborate across the University to design and execute strategies that support our fundraising goals and optimise our operational efficiency.

As the Deputy Director: Development Services, you will:

  • Set and deliver strategies to optimise development insight, systems, and operations
  • Generate data-led insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Design and implement programmes to address identified issues
  • Develop strategic relationships with other directorates for data improvement.

We are looking for a Deputy Director: Development Services who has:

  • Proven track record in development operations
  • Strong technical skills in data analysis and CRM management
  • Experience in leading development operations, ideally in higher education
  • Good communication skills and passionate about the use of insight and new technologies to drive philanthropic income and engagement levels of our audiences.

Salary and benefits:

£61,856 rising to £69,074 per annum, Grade 9 of the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance that applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.

Contract:
