We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated candidate for this exciting opportunity to gain pre- postgraduate training experience as part of the University’s Special Collections and Museum of English Rural Life archive team. The post holder will have the opportunity to catalogue archives and rehouse archives to enhance their permanent preservation. Training will be provided.  The Graduate Trainee Archive Assistant will also provide access to collections to researchers via the Museum of English Rural Life and University of Reading Special Collections Reading Room.

You will have: 

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Good time management and organisational skills 
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to providing a professional service for researchers 
  • A high degree of computer literacy in MS Office. 
  • Previous experience of working with archives.
