The School of Arts, Languages and Cultures at the University of Manchester invites applications for a 0.8 post in Lecturer in American History and or Culture, tenable from 1 September 2024. This is a temporary 10 month post. We are seeking candidates with expertise in in modern American Literature and/ or Culture, broadly construed.
The successful candidate is expected to contribute actively to the life of the programme, and must be able to demonstrate their ability to teach across undergraduate and master’s levels. We especially welcome applications from candidates in traditionally underrepresented groups; this includes Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic, and disabled candidates.
We anticipate that short-listing for this post will take place immediately following the call for applications, with interviews likely to take place on either Monday 12th August 2024 or Tuesday 13th August 2024. Candidates who apply are strongly advised to keep these days clear for that purpose.
