The Role
To contribute to the effective running of the Schools experimental laboratories and provide a range of technical practical services and support to academic staff and students to support business needs as required and/or appropriate. Provide technical support as required in workshops and laboratories giving specialist support in areas of expertise including, but not restricted to, Concrete Technology.
Our Successful Candidate
Have good general education with demonstrable qualifications in Mathematics and English and practical experience relating to civil engineering and construction including knowledge of construction techniques and materials testing.
Provide technical support as required in workshops and laboratories giving specialist support in areas of expertise including, but not restricted to the Civil Engineering discipline. Undertake the operation of a range of testing machinery, laboratory equipment and instrumentation for the manufacture and testing of concrete for teaching, student projects, research and consultancy. Must be prepared to contribute to and develop skills in the operation of a wide range of specialist workshops and laboratories.
