Job summary

We are seeking an experienced an Assistant HR Partner to support the HR Partner as part of a new team in the delivery of a high-quality dedicated partnering service across the Chief Operating Officer’s following key areas: (referred to as the “COO Team”)

  • Finance Division
  • Information and Communications Technology Division
  • Property Division,
  • White City Development and
  • Strategic Programmes and Change

The COO Team working environment is fast paced with ambitious growth plans. This role roles is wide and varied that enables you to use your extensive HR generalised skill set to advise, influence, and effectively handle challenges across the different spectrum of areas.

If you are interested in joining a highly motivated team of talented and experienced HR professionals, you will need to be a pro-active self-starter with excellent communication and influencing skills to be able to confidently explain the rationale for advice and decisions, where appropriate and be capable of handling difficult situations in a professional calm manner.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Proactively work in partnership with managers and provides day-to-day advice/ guidance and tactical solutions on a range of employee related issues i.e., sickness absence, performance improvement, capability, probation as well as supporting the delivery of the redeployment process.
  • The ability to build trust and strong relationships with managers to ensure that timely action is taken in accordance with HR policies, statutory and legislative requirements.
  • Proactively uses data and reporting to support managers about key information that informs decisions and actions.

Essential requirements

  • Professional CIPD qualification or equivalent; (ideally Associate or Chartered)  
  • HR professional with experience in either a generalist or specialist environment, including operational exposure to application of employment law, case management and organisational change management 
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and best practice approach to HR processes working knowledge of employment legislation
  • Ability to analyse problems, identify root cause and develop a range of solutions
