The role
The School of Computer Science are looking to appoint a dynamic, hardworking, and enthusiastic individual to join us on a fixed term basis to cover a secondment of our current Student Administration Manager. This role holder will lead the School’s Professional Services education team and work closely with the School Education Director in delivering high-quality education processes. This role is a rewarding leadership position in a friendly, busy team that covers undergraduate and postgraduate administration in the School of Computer Science.
The role is varied, fast paced and will suit those who enjoy collaborative working and finding proactive solutions to issues that arise. Well-developed communication skills are essential as the post holder will be dealing with a wide range of stakeholders, both academic and Professional Services.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for the delivery of administrative services underpinning undergraduate and postgraduate educational activities in the School, ensuring consistently high quality assistance to all School staff and students, and making changes as needed to improve student experience.
You will be supported by three Deputy Student Administration Managers, five Student Administrators and be working within a wider Professional Services team.
You will work closely with the senior Professional Services and academic roles in both the School and wider Faculty as well as across Education networks in the University.

In addition, you should be experienced in using a range of IT systems and be able to adapt to new systems and processes quickly. You are resilient and positive, even when dealing with complex and challenging problems.
