Overall Purpose of the post of Operations Officer:
The Operations Officer provides crucial support across various teams within the Directorate including Communications, Strategic Marketing & Digital, UK Recruitment & Admissions, Educational Partnerships & Apprenticeships, Brookes Global Recruitment and Development & Alumni Relations. Known for problem-solving excellence and a positive attitude, the Operations Officer plays a vital role in upholding the team’s motto: “Consider it done.” This dynamic role requires flexibility, versatility, and a proactive approach to handle diverse tasks, from arranging meetings and travel to managing financial activities and supporting events. The ideal candidate will possess a 'can-do' attitude and the ability to optimise processes and enhance customer service, ensuring the MRE Ops team remains a reliable partner in a dynamic directorate.
Qualifications and Experience for the post of Operations Officer:
The ideal candidate will possess a wide range of administrative skills gained in a professional office environment, including the ability to work autonomously, handle sensitive information, and prioritise competing tasks. They will be customer-focused individuals capable of working effectively with all levels of people and organisations, both nationally and internationally. Essential qualities include strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills to represent the Directorate of Marketing, Recruitment, and Engagement professionally and courteously and the ability to liaise with a diverse range of individuals.
