Two posts available - part time (20.25 hours and 21.25 hours), semester time only (31 weeks), 1 year fixed term.
Our Library Assistants are key members of our team, providing front line help and great face to face customer service to our students, staff and visitors on campus. We require a part time Library Assistant Customer Services to work evenings and alternate weekends at Headington Library during semester time. The Headington Library is located within the award winning John Henry Brookes Building on the Headington Campus.
Both posts are a fixed term contract for the forthcoming academic year. The pattern of work will be:
For post one:
Sundays 11.45 - 18.00
Mondays 13.00 - 17.00
Tuesdays 13.00 – 21.00
Wednesdays 17.00 – 21.00
For post two:
Wednesdays 17.00 - 21.00
Thursdays 18.00 - 21.00
Fridays 13.00 - 21.00
Alternate Saturdays 11.45 – 18.00
Alternate Sundays 11.45 – 18.00
Semester dates for the 2024/25 academic year are:

This role will not attract sufficient points to obtain a sponsored Skilled Worker visa under the points-based immigration system, however applications are welcome from candidates who don’t currently have the right to work in the UK, but who would be eligible to obtain a visa via another route.
