Oxford Brookes University is looking to recruit an experienced, reliable and highly motivated Small Works Project Manager as a member of the Capital Projects team to provide project management for small works projects across the University.  The Capital Projects Team play a proactive role within a motivated and innovative Department, delivering key objectives to meet directorate and university-wide requirements. Working hours for the post of Small Works Project Manager
This is a full-time post which is 37 hours, typically Monday to Friday 8 am to 4.30 pm, but Oxford Brookes is supportive of flexible working, part-time working and job sharing. Overall Purpose of the post of Small Works Project Manager
To lead the management of allocated small works projects within the capital and maintenance programmes for the University throughout all stages of the project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery in terms of time, cost and quality. The project will range in scale from a few hundred pounds to a hundred thousand pounds.

Qualifications and Experience for the post of Small Works Project Manager

Qualifications: Practical experience in project management in a customer-focused environment is essential and relevant professional qualifications an advantage. A practical understanding of construction procurement strategies, techniques, contracts and contract administration, programme development and delivery.

Experience required for post: experience in delivering Small Projects and/or Facilities Management is preferred, but not essential. Experience in Contract Management, Service Delivery and budget management would also be preferred.

This role will not attract sufficient points to obtain a sponsored Skilled Worker visa under the points-based immigration system, however, applications are welcome from candidates who don’t currently have the right to work in the UK, but who would be eligible to obtain a visa via another route.
