Are you an ambitious researcher with skills in computational ecology and/or mathematical modelling? Are you interested in multiple-stressor impacts on biodiversity and looking for your next challenge?
The Beckerman Lab is hiring a Research Associate (Post-Doc) for a NERC (UKRI)-funded project on assessing and managing chemical impacts on UK freshwater biodiversity. The project uses computational ecology and mathematical modelling to study the effects of multiple contaminants on complex food webs in future climate and land use scenarios. The work involves data on land use, climate, and biodiversity, as well as chemical fate, transport, and exposure at 350 sites across nine catchments in Yorkshire, UK.
Applicants must have a PhD related to modelling food webs, networks, and or species interactions with knowledge of marine, freshwater and/or terrestrial communities. They must have experience developing with and using R, Julia, Python or C++ to model networks and/or dynamical systems and perform statistical analyses.
