We have an exciting opportunity for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate to join a dynamic tissue engineering research group led by Professors Craig Murdoch and Helen Colley within the School of Clinical Dentistry. In collaboration with Dr Dawn Walker (Department of Computer Science), this ambitious multidisciplinary research programme involves the use of tissue engineered oral epithelium to develop an electric impedance spectroscopy and machine learning-based decision support system for early diagnosis of oral cancer. The successful candidate will be working alongside other postdoctoral scientists at the engineering, computer science and physical/life science interfaces.
We seek a talented and highly motivated researcher with experience in tissue engineering. Hands-on experience of primary tissue collection and handling, in vitro culture of keratinocytes and fibroblasts, and construction of 3D tissue engineered epithelium or similar is required for this post.
