We have an exciting opportunity for a confident, organised and experienced Training Coordinator to join a growing team supporting Student Support within Education Services. 

As part of an ambitious Mental Health Change Programme underway since 2021, our collegiate university has been delivering transformational work on student wellbeing and mental health at Cambridge. Within this context, the University's Student Support Department is leading on the implementation of a comprehensive training programme available to staff who support students at the University and Colleges. The role holder will work closely with the Student Support Department and Head of Student Wellbeing, and offer organisational capacity and administrative quality to support the realisation of our shared goals for this training programme and its related activities.

About the role:

The Training Coordinator will be a member of an administrative team within the Cambridge Centre for Teaching and Learning supporting both Student Support and CCTL. They will be responsible for coordination and planning of a suite of training events to ensure that these programmes operate efficiently by developing administrative processes, organising events and supporting specialist programmes. The role will contribute to the development and delivery of the University and Colleges' ambitious, impactful training programme in the areas of mental health, wellbeing and inclusion.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Driving forward the coordination and administration for an impactful programme of training in student mental health, wellbeing and inclusion under the direction of the CCTL Training Programme Manager and the Head of Student Wellbeing (Student Support).
  • Organising annual programme of events and develop systems to manage programme planning. 
  • Provide efficient and proactive administration for a range of events training sessions and workshops along with logistical arrangements and communications. 
  • Maintain online training management and booking systems, for which training will be given, including troubleshooting, and resolving issues. 
  • Maintain website, social media communications and online blended learning materials. 

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Wide-ranging experience of administration, including project management or project coordination. 
  • Excellent planning and organisations skills, and the ability to manage multiple workloads and deadlines simultaneously. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to remain calm under pressure. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. 
  • Interpersonal effectiveness 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Excellent level of attention to detail, able to prioritise effectively and work quickly and accurately. 
  • Demonstrate the importance of a high standard of customer service.  
  • Experience of IT systems to an intermediate or advanced level, specifically Microsoft Office. 
  • Able to understand and use new IT systems and tools, including website content management. 
  • Familiarity with virtual learning environment platforms and training booking systems would be an advantage. 

The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.
