About us

The UCL Centre for International Medical Education Collaborations (CIMEC) is seeking to appoint an accomplished Academic Director, to co-lead CIMEC with the Centre’s Commercial Director. The Academic Director will be responsible for the strategic and academic leadership of the Centre, for fostering international collaborations, and for ensuring the highest standards of academic quality and accountability. They will play a critical role in driving the Centre's mission to transform medical education globally, through innovative approaches to fostering effective international collaborations.

UCL CIMEC harnesses UCL Medical School and wider Faculty of Medical Sciences expertise to offer a range of services designed to enable, inform and support high-quality, scientifically rigorous, and patient focused education and training for doctors and other health professionals globally.

About the role

The post holder will be a senior medical practitioner and an experienced clinician educator with knowledge of both national and international medical education. They will use their experience and expertise to support the successful delivery of national and international projects in medical education, leading inputs and contributions from staff at UCL to align with CIMEC’s academic goals to deliver value and impact to all stakeholders.

Appointment details:

• The appointment is available asap and is open-ended.
• Salary on appointment is subject to experience.

About you

We are seeking a clinically qualified academic with extensive experience in medical education and a proven track record of leadership in an academic or consultancy setting.

Experience in the commercial aspects of education enterprise including client relationship management, exploring and consolidating the needs of clients, contributing to the establishment of proposals, and delivery of educational resources suitable for client needs is desirable.
