We are seeking to appoint a talented and ambitious Research Fellow to join the McNally Group in the International Institute for Nanocomposites Manufacturing (IINM), WMG at the University of Warwick.
Working in collaboration with Hutchinson, a major international company that designs and manufactures smart solutions for a world on the move and contributes to future mobility on land, in the air and at sea. Your goal is to develop a thermoplastic compound exhibiting a high thermal and electrical conductivity and you will be responsible for:
About You
You will be an excellent communicator, diligent, collaborative, equally at ease working alone or as part of a team. You will possess excellent planning and time management skills to ensure your research objectives are achieved effectively.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD is polymer science and engineering, materials science and engineering, polymer (nano) composites. Experience of working in the field of composites of polymer and 1D/2D nanomaterials and polymer processing (e.g. extrusion/compounding, injection moulding) will be a distinct advantage.

If you are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD but have not yet had it conferred, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant at the top of level 5 of the University grade structure. Upon receipt of evidence of the successful award of your PhD, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of level 6 of the University grade structure.
