Careers Advisor (Education)

Hours of work: Full-time - 35 hours (1.0fte)

Salary: The starting salary will be from £25,138 up to £29,605 per annum (pro-rata) in Grade 5, depending on qualifications and experience.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to support our ambitious and growing Graduate Outcomes and Enterprise Directorate. Reporting to the Careers Education Manager, the postholder will contribute significantly to careers advice and initiatives for students and graduates which support the Directorate’s strategic priorities and ambitious corporate targets.

Working in Careers & Placements, the successful candidate will be working across our Horsforth and new City Centre campus. They will join a passionate team who has a commitment to student success and actively supporting student progression into high skilled employment or further study. The postholder will deliver a range of activities including: one to one appointments, targeted initiatives, extra-curricular employability events, on-course sessions and proactive engagement with external regional projects and employer engagement activities.

The successful candidate will have a track record of working towards challenging targets, experience of working with a range of stakeholders and leading transformational activities. They will have the skills to communicate with and engage students, employers and University staff. They will be resourceful, resilient and committed to graduate employability. They will be confident about live data reporting and ongoing impact measurement to support the achievement of Directorate objectives.

This role will be based at both our Horsforth Campus and Leeds City Centre Campus.
