Audio Visual Technician

Media Services at Leeds Trinity University is a multi-skilled department, focusing on delivering high quality and state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities, underpinned by excellent technical support, for all our students and staff. The University is embarking on a substantial period of change to both its physical estate and degree portfolio.
We are seeking an Audio-Visual Technician to help in AV operations with technical expertise in supporting helpdesk, maintaining and operating audio-visual equipment and media facilities. Reporting to Audio Visual Support Manager this is an exciting opportunity which will play a key role in ensuring the seamless delivery of audio-visual services and support across our Horsforth and City Centre campuses.
The primary focus of this role is to deliver on-site AV and media support by handling helpdesk requests, Audio Visual maintenance and resolution of faults as well as loaning out of Media kit. The individual will assist by helping faculty and staff with AV usage, responding to urgent AV calls related to meeting rooms and teaching spaces and events. Duties include investigating and diagnosing faults, inspecting all aspects of the AV setup (such as physical connections, network configurations, and device settings), replacing defective hardware, performing functional tests, and ensuring overall system functionality.
