We are seeking to appoint a new Director of Finance and Strategic Planning to join the University Executive and Senior Management team. The postholder will report directly into the Vice-Chancellor and take the lead in providing outstanding commercial and financial leadership across the institution; sharing collective responsibility for the achievement of our strategic priorities and associated delivery plans. With oversight of the Strategic Planning team and through a sophisticated use of data and business intelligence, they will deliver a resilient financial base and support our continued, sustainable, growth.
The successful candidate will bring significant leadership experience gained at a senior level in an organisation of comparable scale and complexity. They will have a strong commercial and business focus underpinned by a proven ability to operate effectively within rapidly changing policy landscapes. They will have outstanding communication skills, a track record of using data to drive decision making, experience of leading annual planning rounds and strategic workforce planning, and the interpersonal skills to influence across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
