Annual Leave: 35 days (pro rata) plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year.
Location: College Lane Campus, Hatfield with some remote working opportunities
Main duties and responsibilities
The successful applicant will be fully embedded into the programme team. Their primary role will be to monitor, evaluate and support international students across the clinical, academic and research strands of the programme and to provide pastoral support. They will also contribute substantially to the recruitment of international students. More broadly the applicant will also have the opportunity to contribute to the organisation and delivery of the academic curriculum, including module organising, teaching and facilitating problem-based learning and small group work. There will be the opportunity to supervise trainee research with mentoring support available, and to join a research stream which fits with interests and experience. The applicant will supervise trainees, and contribute to the course tutor system for monitoring trainees’ progress on an annual basis in clinical, academic and research work and in developing professional roles, consistent with relevant NHS recruitment and performance management policies and procedures. Finally, they will contribute to the evaluation of DClinPsy trainees’ coursework.
The post assumes that the appointee will undertake relevant CPD in order to maintain their professional registration.

Skills and experience required
You will be sensitive to the needs of international students and the opportunities these students bring. You will have a developing record of achievement in clinical psychology, and excellent team working skills. You will also have a strong commitment to, and some experience in, delivering clinical services, education, training, leadership, supervision and doing clinical research. You will be able to plan and manage your own activities effectively and have good oral and written communication skills in both spoken and written English.
Qualifications required
In addition to your undergraduate and post- graduate qualification in clinical or counselling psychology (or expected completion within the next twelve months), you will have HCPC registration, or expected registration at the point of qualification and be eligible for BPS Chartered status at the point of qualification. We would also welcome applicants with systemic or CBT accreditation.
