Technology Specialist UOD1179

We are recruiting for a Technology Specialist within our Manufacture Workshop, to lead in the recommissioning of the resource and development of technical precision metalwork service. This is a fixed-term appointment for 30 months until 30^th June 2026.

As part of a consortium, a precision metal workshop is to be "refreshed" to deliver high quality precision metal work prototypes. This role will be at the forefront of medical device prototyping and would suit an individual who has worked in a precision engineering environment.

Based in Wilson House beside Ninewells Hospital, one of Europe's largest teaching hospitals, the School of Medicine provides outstanding medical education and training supported by world class research facilities.

Your priorities will include:

• Oversight of the upgrade of the workshop area
• Risk assessment and Health and safety arrangements
• Working with the QA co-ordinator to develop a Quality System
• Delivery of MDMC projects

Who we're looking for:

• Someone with expertise in metalwork manufacturing
• Someone with competencies in software for engineering.
• An excellent communicator able to work across multidisciplinary teams
• Someone able to articulate information about technical work.
• Someone organised and able to plan workload.
