Business Education at Queen Margaret University Business School continues to see rapidly growing provision in both our on-campus and online provision. In 2023, Queen Margaret University launched online postgraduate degrees, and growth in this area continues to be strong. In September 2024, Queen Margaret Business School will launch a suite of MBA online degrees and we are looking to recruit module facilitators to help our students through these programmes.

This is an exciting and timely opportunity to join a quickly developing team given the existing and  anticipated growth in our Masters programmes. The purpose of the role is to provide excellent facilitation of online learning and marking of assignments on these asynchronous online Masters programmes: MBA, MBA with Finance, MBA with Hospitality and MBA with Marketing.

The postholders will have the opportunity to apply their skills, knowledge and expertise to our new postgraduate programmes, which share the approach taken by the division in being intellectually rigorous and research based, with a focus on sustainable development, social justice and the environement at their core. Our programmes are designed to meet the challenges as well as recognise the rewards of business in the 21st century and will prepare students by actively engaging them in contemporary issues in business and help them develop a sound knowledge of the range of factors that impact this diverse and complex area.

We are seeking motivated individuals with an interest in business and business education, and demonstrable experience of working on online asynchronous programmes as well as marking at Masters level. You may be in education with an interest in one of the specific MBA programme areas, or have a more generalist business education background in either further or higher education.

You should hold a postgraduate qualification in a related field and have experience in delivering university-level provision in a cognate subject drawing on technology to support learning. It is important that the post-holder shares the ethos of the division, school and university in being concerned with issues of social justice, sustainable development and the environment, and the proactive role business can play in addressing these issues and is passionate about applying this ethos in the delivery of our programmes.

Please note that this role may meet the criteria to enable sponsorship of migrant workers in line with UKVI regulations and requirements.
