This is an exciting opportunity to be a key contributor within the School of Health Sciences at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, providing a high quality, exceptional and transformative educational experience to students in an innovative and high-tech learning environment. You will be a driving force in delivering and growing our portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the field of Physiotherapy and Sports Rehabilitation. In addition, where relevant, there are opportunities to contribute to programmes across the Division, School and wider University.
The School, with its breadth of professional programmes, delivers Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health as well as Therapeutic and Diagnostic Radiography, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Occupational Therapy, Art Therapies, Speech and Hearing Science, Nursing and Paramedic Science. As such is in a unique position to develop opportunities for multi-professional and interdisciplinary learning, teaching and research.
To apply for this role, you must be registered with the HCPC as a Physiotherapist. You must have a first degree, or equivalent, have a post registration, postgraduate degree relevant to the area of physiotherapy. We are specifically looking for someone with broad general physiotherapy experience and experience of working in rehabilitation for people living with long-term conditions, in either an inpatient or community setting will be an advantage.
Also it is essential. to have recent experience of undertaking student assessment and facilitating learning and teaching in physiotherapy/healthcare practice or a Higher Education context.
