The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a qualified, experienced, talented and highly motivated Computing Lecturer to join our Business & Technology Learning Area on a fixed term basis. The successful candidate will be able to deliver and assess on range of courses in Computing and Digital Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and assess on variety of Computing and Technology pathways from Level 1 – 5 including BTEC Levels 1-3 in IT and Computing. Agored Level 3 Access to Applied Computing and part time City & Guilds Technology course delivery.  The ability to teach on Level 4/5 Applied Computing is desirable.
  • Deliver high quality teaching and learning, effectively monitor and track learner progress, creating a positive environment to enable all learners to reach their full potential in terms of academic, social and personal development
  • Applicants will have a commitment to continuous improvement, will contribute effectively to curriculum development, extracurricular activity and assist with the planning and marketing of courses.

About you:

  • Possess relevant Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or IT related degree.
  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification or willing to work towards this qualification
  • The ability to effectively deliver and assess key competencies and skills on all curriculum identified along with the ability to code in a preferred language.
  • Be prepared to work flexibly to meet needs of the curriculum.
  • Be enthusiastic and inspirational in taking these subjects forward within the college curriculum offering.

  • Addysgu ac asesu amrywiaeth o lwybrau Cyfrifiadura a Thechnoleg Lefel 1-5, gan gynnwys BTEC Lefel 3 mewn TG a Chyfrifiadura, Cwrs Agored Lefel 3 Mynediad i Gyfrifiadura Cymhwysol a chwrs Technoleg City & Guilds rhan amser.  Addysgu Cyfrifiadura Cymhwysol Lefel 4/5 - dymunol.
  • Darparu addysgu a dysgu o ansawdd uchel, monitro ac olrhain cynnydd dysgwyr, creu amgylchedd positif sy’n annog dysgwyr i gyflawni eu potensial llawn o ran datblygiad academaidd, cymdeithasol a phersonol.
  • Bydd ymgeiswyr yn ymrwymedig i welliant parhaus a byddant yn cyfrannu’n effeithiol at ddatblygiad cwricwlwm a gweithgarwch allgyrsiol, gan gynorthwyo i gynllunio a marchnata cyrsiau.
