The Strategic Partnerships Team is an exciting new department that holistically combines the conservatoire’s events, partnerships, student performances and enterprise/employability remits.
The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the Conservatoire’s broad and creative events schedule, delivering key, large-scale celebrations, including our annual graduation ceremonies, a variety of student performances across our music and drama cohorts, as well as relevant commercial/external hires. It’s a rewarding role that will allow the successful candidate to flex their events management skills across a wide array of activities, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners and customers alike.
We are looking for candidates who have considerable experience in managing and delivering a busy events schedule, with an ability to both lead projects and work in tandem with colleagues (including Technical and AV teams) across various venues and event sizes. They will have excellent organisational skills, allowing them to juggle multiple onsite and offsite projects, schedule suitable staffing where appropriate, and adhere to policies and industry standard practices. The successful candidate will display a high level of communication skills and be able to negotiate external hire contracts and distribute important information to students and academic staff. An eye for detail will be essential, with a passion for the arts, problem-solving, and delivering unique and engaging events.
We’re committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and expect staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This position will be offered subject to satisfactory DBS disclosure.
