We’re looking for a maternity cover for an Events Manager to manage and deliver of our high-profile, large-scale events showcasing the University to the wider Lancashire community, and positively improving its reputation.
About You
You will be an experienced events professional used to working in a busy, high-pressured environment with the ability to balance multiple priorities whilst working against tight deadlines. Educated to degree level in Events Management or a related discipline, or relevant, demonstrable and up-to-date experiential learning, you will be an excellent communicator and have experience of liaising with different stakeholders as well as being extremely organised, and have a can-do attitude.
You will be self motivated who thrives as part of a team, but with the ability to work independently. You will be experienced in project managing events from start to finish, leading planning groups, and developing event plans. You will have excellent attention to detail and a good understanding of marketing and promotion. You will be required to work some evenings and weekends and will work with key stakeholders to deliver external events and conferences through venue hire.

This position is based in Preston city centre, and currently includes some blended working subject to the needs of the university.
