We are seeking to recruit a University Teacher / Senior University Teacher to play a key role in contributing to, and maintaining, the School’s portfolio of research led, high quality, teaching in Data Science, AI and Society. You will contribute to both the technical and societal teaching on our Data Science programmes. You will be expected to provide lectures and workshops, and produce and mark assessments on core and optional modules in some of the following areas at undergraduate and postgraduate levels:
You will also carry out supervision of masters dissertation projects.
You will have Industry related experience and expertise in a relevant field, or a PhD in a relevant subject area (or working towards a PhD). At Senior University Teacher level a teaching qualification is also desirable.
We are particularly keen to attract applications from those who have a good understanding of FATES (fairness, accountability, transparency, ethics, safety and security) principles and responsible data and AI practices in data science research.
As the role will involve supervising and supporting students, you will be required to foster a culture of mutual support and collegiality. At Senior University Teacher level, we would welcome prior experience of supporting staff performance.
