We are seeking an inspirational Lecturer in Biomedical Science with clinical experience to join our Life Sciences team. You will join a growing and collegiate team with an embedded culture of student-focused teaching and high impact research.
The successful applicant will primarily support teaching on our successful IBMS accredited BSc Biomedical Science programme, but an ability to teach across the wider subject area would be an advantage. You will make a positive contribution to the student experience and the design and development of high-quality and inclusive teaching and learning materials. Applications are welcomed from individuals with extensive clinical experience with a desire to develop the next generation of Biomedical Scientists.
We are looking to recruit individuals who share our passion for inclusion, aspiration, sustainability, trust, and creativity, and who will play a key role in supporting ambition, creating opportunities, and delivering impact.
You will also be expected to contribute to the research and scholarly output of the subject area and work with other researchers within the Faculty and wider University. Research and scholarship are supported through our research centres, mentor scheme, and 25 days’ leave for scholarly activity.
We want you to be able to carry out your work in a way that best supports UON and our students, but also you as an individual. We understand this may vary between different areas of the university as well as from one person to another. With Smarter Working you can work with increased flexibility, if you would like to, which can facilitate greater freedom and autonomy.
