About the job
Interview date: 29 July 2024
We are looking to recruit a flexible, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to take primary responsibility for developing a co-creative approach to engaging students in corrective and positive behaviour in halls of residence. This will include the implementation of Level 1 of the Student Disciplinary Policy.
The Student Behaviour Coordinator will facilitate workshops to address underlying issues impacting student behaviour and one-on-one mentoring sessions to improve and encourage student engagement.
This is an exciting role with the opportunity for the right candidate to help develop and shape our vision of student support in halls of residence. Whilst this centres around student behaviour management, the right candidate will need to possess emotional intelligence and an empathetic nature; supporting personal growth and developing emotional resilience in our students is at the heart of everything we do.
This post is subject to a background disclosure check by the Disclosure and Barring Service before any appointment can be confirmed.
About you
To succeed in this post, you will possess good interpersonal skills, the confidence to discuss disciplinary issues with potentially argumentative students and a commitment to providing a positive student experience.
You will possess the organisational skills needed to cope with a large and varied case load. The post will also require flexibility in your working day and your working hours in order to meet the expectations of our student population.
You will also possess exceptional administration skills and a high level of IT skills including advanced use of Microsoft office packages.
Working varied hours between Monday-Friday (in agreement with your line manager), you will need to move between our sites throughout Northampton dependant on the demands of our student population and both internal and external stake holders.
During keys times in the year there will also be the need to work some additional hours (evening/weekends).
