About the role
This post offers the right candidate the opportunity to bring a new profession to the University of Derby and be an innovator in how healthcare education is delivered in conjunction with the NHS.
We are embarking on a new relationship with a large NHS Trust who will be delivering paramedic apprenticeships. We are looking for a qualified Paramedic or an experienced academic in Paramedic Education to support this innovation and provide a critical link between the Trust and the University.
You will be responsible for working with the Head of Discipline to ensure efficient and effective delivery of teaching programmes in accordance with the University’s strategic objectives in order to provide an exceptional student experience. This is an innovative programme, with the curriculum already approved, but you will work with the Ambulance service to develop teaching materials and embed good practice. Experience of apprenticeships is desirable but not essential.
This role will be part based at our Kedleston Road campus, and part based with the ambulance service in Sandwell.
This is a 0.4 FTE role; the specific working pattern to be discussed at interview.
The interviews or this role will be held on Friday 12th July 2024.
