About us
The UCL Division of Psychology and Language Sciences is the largest such department in the country with over 120 academic staff and 2000 students studying at undergraduate and postgraduate level making it UCL’s largest teaching department. It has a large research portfolio and is part of the Faculty of Brain Sciences. The postholder will be based in the Finance & Research Team which is one of nine professional services teams in Psychology and Language Sciences.
About the role
The postholder is responsible for the day-to-day financial operation within the department, administering finance and staffing transactions using MyFinance, MyHR, Worktribe, and various other systems. The postholder will ensure a high quality and timely service to staff and students and will play a key role in supporting research administration processes and practices. About you
Applicants should be educated to A Level (Minimum of 2 at grade C or above), or equivalent, or having acquired relevant skills in Finance or Accountancy. Have a high level of numeracy, with the ability to understand and interpret figures and statistics, and undertake standard calculations such as VAT. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other electronic finance systems (preferably Oracle). Experience of UCL finance systems would be an advantage.
