Location: College Lane Campus, University of Hertfordshire
You will assist the Occupational Health team in the provision of a comprehensive Occupational Health (OH) service to all employees and students (as appropriate) in the university, to promote the health and wellbeing of both staff and students at University of Hertfordshire (UH).
The Occupational Health Advisor will be responsible for providing advice, support and guidance to the Service Users and wider multidisciplinary team. Acting as a professional role model, providing strong, facilitative and effective support to the Placements Students and New staff. Additionally, the position will involve assessing new clients presenting to Occupational Health whether in person or by written referral and initiate management of case. Maintaining the confidentiality of information about healthcare students, staff and other University business in accordance with professional codes of conduct and relevant legislation such as the General Data Protection Regulation/Data Protection Act is a fundamental part of this role.
Significant experience of working in an occupational health environment and knowledge of relevant drugs and medicine legislation to OH practice is essential. A successful candidate will have the ability to prioritise work and be self-motivated as well as having good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
Registered Nurse – Adult (part 1 Nursing and Midwifery Council Register) is essential.
