About us
We are seeking to recruit a full-time position to support a new protein science initiative in the Faculty of Life Sciences at UCL, in collaboration with the Structural Genomics Consortium. In the coming years we envision a global collaboration in the area of protein science, machine learning and data science that improves our ability to predict molecules binding to under-studied proteins. This project kick-starts the wider initiative by establishing a new protein science group at UCL tasked with innovating in the way we produce and purify proteins rapidly for UCL research projects.

We are seeking staff with extensive experience in the preparation and purification of samples of human proteins, using various expression systems (e.g., bacteria, mammalian and insect cell systems), purification techniques (e.g., IMAC, IEX, GF using ÄKTA systems) and characterisation methods (e.g., mass spectrometry, SPR, thermal stability, etc.). The ability to work quickly as part of a multi-disciplinary team is essential.
