About the role
UCL’s Faculty of Laws is looking to appoint an Operations Officer who will play a vital role in providing a high quality service to ensure the Faculty’s operations run smoothly and effectively. Working collaboratively with academic staff and other professional services colleagues within the Faculty and the wider university, this is a broad-ranging role supporting all aspects of operations management, including aspects of HR, finance, estates management, health and safety, executive support and governance, administration and project management. This role will oversee the work of two Operations Administrators and contribute to the management of the Faculty’s Operations Team.

About you
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of delivering a support service in operations or administration, with a customer-oriented approach to managing service standards. They will have a good understanding of finance and budget management and of HR processes and practice, including an awareness of compliance requirements in these fields. The role requires strong administrative, organisational and project management skills, including an ability to work to deadlines calmly under pressure, with high attention to detail, and with a flexible approach to changing priorities. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels to promote a positive working culture is also essential.
Please Note - The role will be 80% on site with 20% working remotely.
