SOAS University of London is the leading higher education institution in Europe specialising in the study of Asia, Africa and the Near and Middle East. We are positioned to play a leading role in reimagining higher education globally, with a new strategic plan in place as the basis for the renewal and revitalisation of the School, which commits SOAS to both student responsiveness and research intensity. SOAS is moving towards a new model of international partnerships, which is responsive to the transnational character of our global challenges. We are looking to recruit two new Global Partnerships Managers to develop and implement these new collaborations.   

About the Department:  

Global Partnerships is a small team, which reports to the Vice-Chancellor. It supports the implementation of SOAS’ global partnerships strategy, particularly in regards to the development of a new partnership model building equitable partnerships with institutions in the Global South. Our partnerships seek to deliver world-leading teaching and research, enriching the students and academic experience in collaboration with other overseas institutions. 

About the Roles 

Global partnerships are a key pillar of the SOAS strategic plan. These roles are to support strategic global academic collaborations, which facilitate mutually beneficial educational objectives and outcomes. They involve both managing existing partnerships and new partnership development, and the postholders will work closely with academic colleagues to ensure that opportunities for collaboration and joint provision with international partners are fully supported and realised at departmental and institutional level. They will also establish close working relationships with key Professional Services areas to ensure consistency in curriculum development and quality assurance between SOAS and potential overseas partners.  

The roles may involve overseas travel as necessary.
