Middlesex University London is recruiting for Lecturer positions in Dance at our joint education institute in partnership with Minzu University of China (MUC) on the tropical island of Hainan, in the South China Sea.

Minzu University of China (MUC) is ranked first in China among universities for ethnic minority studies. MUC aims to be one of the best universities of its kind in the world for inheriting and promoting the cultures of all ethnic groups and is one of the most prestigious universities in China in related arts and humanities disciplines. MUC has long established campuses in Beijing and has created a beautiful new third Hainan campus in partnership with Middlesex University London to deliver joint degree programmes in Arts and Creative Industries.
The Lecturer in Dance Performance will provide inspirational creative practice & learning and teaching & research/knowledge transfer for the benefit of students, the joint education institute and the wider dance sector. You will be an ambitious self-starter, a creative dance educator and an ambassador for the successful reputation for BA (Hons) Dance and the Joint Institute.
Your focus will be to deliver innovative teaching and learning, maximise student engagement, and work with colleagues to contribute to recruitment, progression, achievement, and a positive student experience. The post will be based at the Hainan campus.
Candidates must be able to meet the Chinese visa requirements; Middlesex University will assist with obtaining a visa. Any offer of employment for this role is also conditional upon obtaining a satisfactory basic DBS certificate or equivalent. Satisfactory basic clearance is required in order to obtain a visa and/or work permit to lawfully work in Hainan, China.
