Academic Registry are seeking to recruit an UKVI Compliance Assistant who will work within the Registry Services team. You will support the work of the UKVI Compliance Team and will undertake immigration compliance tasks such as record-keeping and reporting duties. The Compliance Team is a source of specialist advice, information and guidance for university staff and students. The team supports the delivery of key business processes relating to international students’ registration. You will be required to liaise with Faculties, Professional Service teams and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication across the institution to support UKVI compliance.
We are looking for an Assistant to carry out key sponsor duties to maintain and ensure retention of the University’s Student Sponsor license. Therefore, having knowledge of the Tier 4/Student visa record-keeping and reporting duties as well as having experience working in higher education roles is desirable. Being a good communicator, providing support and guidance to administration and academic staff in relation to immigration compliance will be essential.
You will be required to work closely with all the teams within the department but also to work/act on their own initiative. This is a busy department with lots of conflicting demands so the ability to work well under pressure is essential.
