Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in the Quantity Surveying

The School of Engineering is seeking to appoint an academic in Quantity Surveying at Lecturer level. The successful candidate will be based at the Greenwich campus but will be expected to contribute to programmes delivered at our Greenwich and Medway campuses. We welcome applications from candidates whose teaching and research area are related to:

• Quantity Surveying
• Contracts and Procurement 
• Quantity, Building or General Practice Surveying (RICS) 

The successful candidates will take an important role in the development and delivery of teaching, and research various aspects of the above subject areas. All applicants must have experience in leading modules at postgraduate and/or undergraduate programmes with an understanding of the key performance indicators.

All applicants should have the potential to develop an internationally recognised research program, have excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

We are looking for applicants who have a broad range of skill sets and can contribute to different areas of the portfolios and help us deliver our mission of transforming lives through inspired teaching and research, through our values. Preference will be given to candidates who possess a PhD and combine excellence in teaching with a capacity to conduct novel, interdisciplinary engineering research that will expand and complement the School of Engineering research strengths. Consideration will be given to candidates with relevant industrial experience and do not hold a doctorate qualification. Successful candidates without a teaching qualification will be expected take one within the first year of employment.
