The Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology HR Administrator is responsible for a full range of HR functions for all staff including recruitment & retention, pay and grading, training & development, employment relations and performance management.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will supervise the work of the Temporary Administrative Assistant to provide a professional and efficient HR service including all aspects of HR administration.
You will have previous HR administration experience and will have worked in a customer focussed HR environment. A basic knowledge of employment law and principles of HR best practice are essential. You will have excellent administrative and organisational skills and be able to produce work to a high level of accuracy. The ideal candidate will have recruitment experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work independently. The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure as well as working collaboratively is essential in this role.
You are expected to take a proactive and flexible approach to their work. You will have the ability to work on your own initiative, prioritise work, maintain accuracy, confidentiality and work to tight deadlines. You will have excellent administrative skills including competence in IT packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
