The Role
We are looking for four research assistants to join our international research team working on a Wellcome Trust-funded project. The aim of the project is to identify sleep- and circadian-related mechanisms through which adolescents may either develop, or demonstrate resilience to, depression and anxiety.
You will be responsible for undertaking guided research activity including engagement and recruitment of adolescent (teen) participants, preparing, setting up, conducting and recording the outcome of experiments and field work data collection through biological sampling, interviews, focus groups and surveys, using and managing equipment and instrumentation for data collection and analysis within the project. Occasional out of hours work will be required. The post holders will co-ordinate their own work with that of others and contribute to the planning of the project data collection.
Qualifications Required
You will have a good degree (1st class or 2.1) in an appropriate subject such as Biological Sciences, Clinical or Cognitive Neuroscience, Psychology, or Physiology, or relevant discipline or professional experience equivalent to an honours degree.
Our Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with young people between the ages of 13 to 18 years old, with a flexible approach to work and ability to work well as part of a larger collaborative team.

The post is fixed-term, 0.6FTE until May 2027. Night-time work is required, and possible weekends. A driving licence and own car is desirable, DBS Check required. Flexible working may be considered depending on project needs. We are looking to fill the position as soon as possible.
