The role
The School of Physiology, Pharmacology and Neuroscience is looking to appoint a proactive Senior Student Administrator to join our Professional Services team. This exciting role involves providing support to the Student Administration Manager and Deputy Student Administration Manager in specific areas of teaching administration. The school has a reputation for being a great place to work and for being a supportive and friendly environment for all staff and students.
What will you be doing?
You will take responsibility for the administrative overview and ownership of examinations, annual data returns and to contribute to process improvement. You will also be expected to coordinate optional unit choices for our non-finalist students and have oversight of attendance monitoring and engagement. You will also have line management responsibilities.
You should apply if
You have excellent administration, interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to build and maintain co-operative relationships at all levels in the school, faculty and wider University. You should be able to work independently but also enjoy working within a team in a busy, varied environment.
You are an expert user of Microsoft excel and proficient in using the Office suite of applications, email, web and general office systems, with the ability to manage information electronically through databases and spreadsheets.
You will possess excellent customer service skills, with a strong customer care focus. You are proactive and enjoy using your initiative to solve problems and have the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive approach. You will have relevant experience working in a university setting supporting teaching administration, with a sound knowledge of student administration systems.
