Full time (36.5 hours per week).
Staff are able to work remotely up to 50% of their hours.

The work of the Admissions team is applicant-facing and office opening hours are 9am to 5pm.
About the role
The Admissions Office is looking to appoint an Undergraduate Admissions Coordinator to support the undergraduate admissions operation at the University
Working as part of the centralised Admission Office, you will assist with the smooth, professional, & efficient running of the University’s admissions operation, principally by taking responsibility for processing applications for a group of subjects, setting conditions as appropriate &issuing offer letters
You will also assist with telephone, email and in-person enquiries, and with the on-going communication with applicants and academic Schools as the admissions cycle progresses through to registration
You will have a particular focus on processing the applications of those that meet the University’s Widening Participation criteria, issuing contextual offers accordingly. You will work closely with the Undergraduate Admissions Manager who oversees the Widening Participation applicant pool
Throughout the summer, you will play an integral role in the confirmation and clearing period, reviewing applicant results and taking decisions on those we can admit to the University.
This will include working one day at the weekend in August when the A-level results are received, working longer hours during the week of A level publication and potentially the Saturday following A level publication.
About you
Previous Admissions experience will be advantageous but is not required. You will need to be friendly, organised, hard-working and possess excellent attention to detail.
The Undergraduate Admissions Team work together closely throughout the admission cycle, so you will have demonstrable team working skills while also possessing the ability to work independently and take initiative, when required.
You will have strong research and critical thinking skills, utilising these to make decisions on complex applications that fall outside of agreed admissions templates.
