We are looking for an EDI Consultant to provide expert advice and insight on equality, diversity and inclusion legislation, policy and practice to support the University to deliver its vision and goals, set out in our Inclusive Sussex strategy.
As part of the EDI team, you will lead the co-design, delivery, monitoring and oversight of a range of EDI projects and interventions aimed at fostering an inclusive community experience and ensuring equitable outcomes and opportunities for Sussex’s students and staff. It’s anticipated that this role will primarily cover the disability workstream during the maternity leave of one of our permanent EDI Consultants.
About you
You will need excellent communication and influencing skills, programme/project management, an analytical approach with the ability to work comfortably with data and evaluation tools and to work collaboratively and with autonomy. You should have up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and good practice, with experience of successfully implementing EDI initiatives in a complex organisation.
