We are seeking to appoint a Pure Administrator to join the University of Huddersfield’s Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange Service (RIKE), the central point for the University’s research and innovation activity. As part of this team, the Pure Administrator will help to ensure that the University’s research outputs are recorded accurately and showcased effectively.
You will work within PURE, which is the University’s Research Information System and Open Access repository, to enrich, cleanse, and quality-check records in the system. You will play a key role in maintaining the completeness and accuracy of its research output data. The role involves liaising with academic staff and acting as the first point of contact for queries related to PURE and associated workflows.
You will also support the team with other Open Access activities, including processing Article Processing Charges (APCs) for Open Access publications, contributing to advocacy efforts relating to PURE, and assisting with the preparation of research outputs for submission to the Research Excellence Framework (REF).
With GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade C/4 and 2 A Levels or equivalent qualification or relevant working experience, you will have well-developed IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and experience working with inter-relational database systems. Prior experience working in an administrative role is essential, as is having effective written and verbal communication skills.
We offer an excellent employment package, including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).
The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all.
