The role
Lecturer in Primary and Early Years Teacher Education with Early Years and Science curriculum as the main focus.
We deliver teacher training in undergraduate BA and postgraduate PGCE and Primary and Early Years education. We are looking for a lecturer who could contribute to these areas at all levels of delivery.
The role will include learning, teaching and assessment of students at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. The role will include working with partners who provide trainee education placements. Depending on your experience, you may be asked to contribute to other related teaching at Masters level, providing opportunities to contribute to teams across the SIOE. We also encourage staff to continue to develop their own research profile and there are varied opportunities and support to do this for all academic staff.
Our aim is to provide the highest quality teaching and learning, through large and smaller group teaching and some online learning, the design of curricula, and the development of our teaching team's specialist skills.
You must have a postgraduate qualification and/or substantial professional experience in a relevant discipline and expertise in teaching Early Years and in a range of Primary and Early Years subjects, in addition to professional learning. The ability to design and deliver transformative and innovative learning experiences is also essential.
