An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Assistant to contribute to a funded project focusing on community food, diet inequalities and the food system in Glasgow working with Dr. Ada Garcia, Dr. Stephanie Chambers and other staff within the University of Glasgow and with collaborators in the Glasgow Centre for Population Health and several stakeholders within the Glasgow City Food Plan.
The postholder will be responsible for undertaking desk research, research design, recruitment, qualitative data collection and analyses, report writing and dissemination activities.
The post would suit those with a particular interest in community food, along with skills in public engagement and creative dissemination. Experience of creative research methods would be an advantage. The successful candidate will provide support to the wider research team and will be expected to contribute to research publications and other outputs.
The post is available full-time starting July 2025 and has funding for up to 2 years.
This position requires availability to work, on average, two Saturdays per month. In return, an alternative day off during the week will be provided.
