About this role
The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Business Partner will play a key role in fostering a truly inclusive, equitable, and anti-racist culture across the university. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), and sitting within the newly formed Transformation and Improvement Service.
This is an exciting opportunity to drive real, transformative change at a university that is committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and anti-racist culture. As an EDI Business Partner, you will play a strategic and influential role, working across academic departments, professional services, and external partners to embed EDI at every level.
You’ll be joining at a pivotal time, shaping policies and practices that directly impact staff and students, ensuring the university not only meets its legal and regulatory duties but goes beyond compliance to create a truly inclusive environment. Your work will be evidence-led and action-focused, addressing systemic barriers and championing intersectional approaches to EDI.
If you’re looking for a role where you can drive lasting change, challenge existing structures, and be part of a team that is passionate about making a difference, this is the opportunity for you.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is not only passionate about EDI but also has the expertise and leadership skills to drive meaningful and lasting change.
Collaboration, relationship-building, and influencing skills will be essential for this role. We’re looking for someone who can navigate complex regulatory and legal duties, ensuring compliance while also advocating for transformative change. You will need a strong understanding of systemic and institutional barriers to equity and inclusion to challenge, support, and guide colleagues at all levels to drive impactful cultural change.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be strategic, evidence-informed, and solutions-focused, with a proactive approach to embedding EDI into every aspect of university life.
If you’re passionate about fostering an inclusive, anti-racist culture and have the skills to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you!
