The University of Oxford is seeking to appoint an Associate Professor in History with a focus on the period 1000-1500. The post will be held in the Department for Continuing Education and the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the teaching and research within the Department’s history portfolio. They will also contribute to the governance and strategic direction of the Department. The postholder will have a Governing Body Fellowship at Kellogg College and full membership of the Faculty of History.

Requirements:
The successful candidate must hold a doctorate relevant to history 1000-1500 and have an established research record relating to history between 1000-1500. You should have substantial experience of teaching at university level and a proven record of research and publication. A demonstrated ability to supervise research students and contribute to academic leadership is essential.

The postholder will be a Governing Body Fellow of Kellogg College and a full member of the Faculty of History.
Associate Professors may apply for the title of full Professor in annual exercises. In exceptional cases, the title of full Professor may be awarded on appointment with an additional salary payment.
