An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Information and Library Services Directorate, within the University of Greenwich.
The Head of Research and Knowledge Exchange Systems is an exciting role managing a newly formed team with responsibility for the delivery, management and stable operation of high-quality research and knowledge exchange systems and solutions; namely Worktribe.
As Head of Research and Knowledge Exchange Systems, you will play an important role in supporting the University to transform the technology that underpins the way that we manage research and knowledge exchange activities. You will act as a source of knowledge and experience in the team; supporting, coaching and supervising team members as required. Co-ordinating all day-to-day activities, to ensure the successful implementation of software solutions and appropriate configuration changes and updates.
We are seeking someone with extensive knowledge of research systems and a keen interest in technology. You will need to be someone with proven problem-solving and systems analysis skills, along with the ability to work in a challenging environment, adapting to changing priorities and timescales and meet deadlines, demonstrating enthusiasm and evidence of a proactive approach to continuous service improvement and opportunity generation.
Experience of large-scale project management is essential, involving supervision of work and proactive liaison with Project Managers, cross-functional team members and senior users as required. Hence, we are looking for a strong communicator, with the ability to develop strong working relationships with staff at all levels and thoroughly document your work.
