The Department of Geography & Environment is seeking a dedicated and forward-thinking individual to join our team as the Deputy Department Manager (Education). This pivotal role centres on enhancing and delivering the educational strategies of our department, helping us continue to deliver a world-class educational experience to our students.
In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with the Departmental Manager, the Professional Services team and senior academic faculty, playing a crucial role in the management and execution of our department's educational activities, policies and initiatives. The responsibilities will encompass overseeing the development and implementation of teaching programmes, ensuring they meet the highest standards and effectively address the needs of our diverse student body.
We are seeking a candidate who possesses extensive experience in higher education administration, specifically in areas related to education delivery and management. The ideal candidate will have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, a proficiency in data analysis and generating insights for Departmental improvement and a comprehensive familiarity of UK university procedures.
A proactive approach to strategic thinking, as well as an ability to convey high level policies and information to staff and students clearly is essential. Awareness and working knowledge of AI platforms as well as experience with automation, coding and or low code solutions is desirable.
