Our Business School is recognised for the quality of the educational provision we offer, the employability of our graduates and the international reputation and partnerships we have.
Currently, we have an opportunity for a Guaranteed Hours Lecturer to join us and support the subject group with teaching requirements for a period of 3 months.
The Role:
As Guaranteed Hours Lecturer, you will have the opportunity to join the team at our Business School and take responsibility for delivering teaching and student-centred learning, underpinned by academic scholarship and professional practice within your assigned areas of responsibility.
You will be in an excellent position to bring your disciplinary expertise to our thriving teaching and research culture, in turn contributing to our current undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
These will include contributions to our postgraduate modules including our MSc International Business Management, MSc Business Management and MSc in International Human Resource Management.
As a multidisciplinary school with an excellent record in applied research and teaching, we will support you to go beyond traditional boundaries, working with others internally, across the wider university, and externally to foster an inter-professional, collaborative approach to educational delivery from the outset.
Further to this, you will find yourself making a profound and positive impact on the experience of our students as you use your initiative, creativity and judgement in applying appropriate approaches to teaching and learning support and scholarly activities.
About you:
Teaching will take place face-to-face on campus, so we will need you to be available to attend in person for weekly classes.
We will look for demonstrable evidence of teaching expertise in an appropriate discipline and we would be keen to receive applications from candidates that complement or enhance the expertise of our team.
You will also need:
Benefits:
Minimum of 46 days annual leave (includes bank holidays), a generous pension scheme with an Employer contribution of 23%, flexible working and professional development opportunities.
Additional information:
Contract: Fixed-term – 3 months
Hours: Minimum of 114 hours over 3 months
Interviews: Week commencing 12th May 2025
